Only 5 short months to one of Moncton’s Signature Summer events, the Mosaïq Multicultural Festival. Preparations are now underway to make the 12th edition of the Mosaïq Multicultural Festival, held on July 15 and 16 in downtown Moncton, a not-to-be-missed celebration. The Festival promises to be very special this year largely due to of all the changes our city is currently experiencing in our own multiculturalism. As residents of Greater Moncton seek ways to embrace the Syrian families who are settling in to our community, this is certainly the year we want to have an amazing Multicultural Festival and celebrate with these new families. The Festival provides a stage for our own local ethno-cultural associations to perform and share a taste of their culture with the local community. “There are no dull moments during the Festival” says event Chair, Ajit Gautam. “The colors, music, dance, and unbelievable talent our local cultural associations bring is mesmerizing”. Local organizers are currently accepting applications for performers from all over the world. “We want to showcase a mix of local, national and international talent”, says Sara Robinson, President of HOST Event Management. “People can expect world-class performers on our International Stage and at City Hall Plaza” The Kids’ Pavilion is a lively piece of the Festival and has become a regular spot for local daycares and day camps on Friday afternoon. With organized activities and crafts promoting multiculturalism, hundreds of kids take in the Festival in a creative way. The World Village, showcasing artisan vendors as well as Moncton’s multicultural exhibits creates unique shopping opportunities for all passer-by. And of course, the variety of cultural foods available will only create a dilemma of what delicious dish to have for dinner. This alone is a reason to visit the Festival both days!

Performers and the schedule of activities will be released at a later time. For now, all interested participants are invited to contact the organizers at
