The Concept

  • The Human Library is a unique and interactive event where people become “books” and share their personal stories and experiences with others.

  • Participants have the opportunity to “borrow” a human “book” for a one-on-one conversation, gaining insight into diverse perspectives and life journeys.

    This initiative aims to foster understanding, challenge stereotypes, and promote empathy through meaningful dialogue.

  • Originating in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2000, the concept has since expanded globally.

  • MOSAÏQ first presented the Human Library in 2024 June in collaboration with Riverview Library, this year expanded to all the three libraries in greater Moncton Area.
